My life in Lake Charles, Louisiana Thus Far

This is x-posted from my Facebook notes section.

The craziness that is my first month.Collapse )

Mar. 29th, 2010

So, it looks like I'm moving to Lake Charles.

Game plan: go up there, hunt for an apartment. Sleep on an air mattress for a week, get the deposit for electricity, and get furniture by the weekend.

Unfortunately: I'm needing cash badly for just the move. I need to put down payment a deposit on the electricity and the apartment itself if I find nail that interview for a place of employment. xx;

So, I'm selling North Italy on my DA.

It's not a Question of If Anymore

It's a question of when I'll leave.  I found out I have everything I could possibly need for an existence outside the home, and I have a savings account that would help get me into an apartment.

...so it's not a question of 'if' it's a question of 'when.'  Wish me luck guys, I'm going to leave Mississippi hopefully soon.

Writer's Block: Le Quatorze Juillet

Happy Bastille Day! Today the French celebrate the event that sparked the French revolution. In honor of our Francophone friends, what is your favorite French thing? Bonus points for answers en français.
J'adore mon accent en parlant français.  Merci Mlle Jefferson de m'enseigner à l'école!

I owe you a great deal.

Writer's Block: Green Living

How green is your school, office, or home?
To enlighten everyone a little more on the English language:

Pleez 2 b wordng thingz bettar!  Dis iz stoopid sounding.

I don't think slang like "going green" is a good way to promote a life style in which one is trying to make the world a better place.  It sounds like a butchering five year old when someone mentions it.  Green is a color, and it sounds terribly unintelligent to speak of it in another way.

As for an answer to this question, no.  There is only one room in the house painted green.  I love the color, but everywhere else is neutral tones.  Why ask such an idiotic question?

This is for ya'll because I like seeing cosplayers from the area that I live.  :D  I met a few Alabamians that love the idea so I made it.

On a side note, I applied for an overnight position at Wal-Mart.  Let's hope this goes through, eh folks?
